You send the trip, we send back confirmed options, and you choose the one you fly.

    Tell us the trip

    Press Request a charter, choose one way, round trip or multi-city, add airports, dates, passengers and aircraft class, then send the request.

  2. Step 02

    We check and send options

    EmptyJet checks availability and prices with operators in its network, then sends you the confirmed options. They appear in My Bookings, each with the aircraft, schedule, price and terms.

  3. Step 03

    Choose and fly

    Choose an option, accept the charter agreement and pay the operator's invoice. That secures the flight. The certificated operator then flies it.

What shapes private jet charter cost

Private jet charter is priced for a specific trip rather than from a fixed fare. Two quotes for the same route may include different aircraft, airports and services, so compare the full trip, not just the headline price.

  • Route and range

    Distance, flying time and whether the trip can be completed nonstop affect the aircraft and operating cost.

  • Aircraft and positioning

    Aircraft category affects operating cost. If the aircraft must reposition before or after your trip, those ferry sectors can affect the quote.

  • Airports and ground services

    Handling, landing, parking, slots and after-hours services vary by airport.

  • Timing and availability

    Peak travel dates, short notice and tight scheduling can reduce aircraft availability and affect pricing.

  • Taxes and seasonal services

    Taxes, passenger charges and services such as de-icing may be included or charged separately depending on the quotation.

  • Special requirements

    Pets, oversized baggage, catering and ground transport may also affect the final price.

Aircraft category is a starting point. The right aircraft depends on distance, passenger count, baggage, airport requirements and cabin preferences. The operator confirms the specific aircraft for the itinerary.

    Typically 4–6 passengers

    Light jets

    Best suited to shorter regional trips and smaller groups. Cabins and baggage space are more compact, while many light jets can use shorter runways than larger aircraft.

    Midsize jets

    Offer more cabin room, baggage capacity and range than light jets, making them suitable for longer regional and continental trips.

    Add further range and cabin volume for longer continental trips, with more room for passengers and baggage.

    Designed for longer international trips and larger cabins. They offer greater range and space, but can carry higher airport and operating costs.

Trip requirements

Baggage, pets and international travel

Passenger count alone does not determine aircraft suitability. Share baggage, pets and international requirements before the aircraft is confirmed.

Baggage

Private aircraft do not use one standard airline-style baggage allowance. Compartment size, loading-door dimensions, passenger weight and fuel requirements all affect what can be carried. Describe skis, golf bags, instruments, strollers or other oversized items in advance.

Pets

Pets may be accepted in the cabin, subject to operator approval, aircraft suitability and destination or transit requirements. International trips may also require additional health or entry documentation.

International travel

Cross-border trips still require valid passports, visas or travel authorisations where applicable. Customs and immigration availability can also vary by airport and operating hours.

Private jet charter is not limited to the airports served by scheduled airlines. Private aviation can use thousands of additional airports, often bringing you closer to where your trip actually begins or ends.

Fly closer to your destination

Private jets can use many regional and business-aviation airports that scheduled airlines do not serve. That can mean a shorter drive at either end of the trip and fewer connections through major airline hubs.

Private aviation terminals

At many airports, private flights use dedicated FBOs or private aviation terminals instead of the main airline terminal, with separate passenger lounges and handling for private aircraft.

Closer to the aircraft

Some private aviation terminals offer direct or ramp-side vehicle access, allowing passengers to move between their car and aircraft with much less terminal infrastructure in between.

International arrivals

Some private aviation airports and FBOs can handle customs and immigration on site, making international arrivals more direct when the required facilities are available.

You request the trip through EmptyJet. A certificated charter operator operates the aircraft and remains responsible for the flight.

EmptyJet is a marketplace and data platform. It does not operate the aircraft. EmptyJet collects your request, checks availability with operators in its network and presents confirmed options for you to review.

The operator

The certificated operator is responsible for the aircraft, crew, operational control and charter agreement for the flight you book.

Aircraft, schedule, pricing and final charter terms are confirmed for the specific itinerary before booking.

After confirmation

Pay by Card, Bank Transfer, or Cryptocurrency

After the operator confirms the aircraft, schedule, and price, you can pay by card — including Google Pay or Apple Pay when your device supports them — by bank transfer, or with cryptocurrency. Checkout shows the methods available for that booking.

The request appears in My Bookings as awaiting confirmation while EmptyJet checks availability with operators. You review confirmed options before deciding whether to book.

Route length, aircraft class, positioning, airports, timing, taxes, and special requests such as pets or oversized baggage. The operator confirms the price for that specific trip.

Which aircraft category should I request?

Match class to distance, passengers, and baggage, then confirm the actual model. Category labels are a shortlist aid, not an operating guarantee.

Can I bring pets or oversized baggage on a charter?

Possibly. Acceptance depends on the operator, the specific aircraft, the items being carried and any applicable destination or transit requirements.
