How the Empty Leg Index works

Each month groups empty-leg offers on EmptyJet by when the flight is scheduled to leave. You can see how many offers are listed, which regions and city pairs show up most often, typical listed prices, and — when a comparison exists — how those prices sit relative to a full private charter.

Reports focus on months with enough listed activity to show useful price, regional, or route patterns. Months with only occasional offers may not appear in the index.

Listed prices are what appears on EmptyJet for that offer. “Below full charter” means the empty-leg price compared with EmptyJet’s estimate of a one-way charter on a similar trip. If that estimate is missing, the offer still counts in the totals, but not in the savings chart.

Regions group offers by departure continent when known, otherwise by country. Corridors are sorted by how many empty-leg offers list that city pair for the month. More offers usually means more choice on the platform — not that every seat is held or already booked.

This is a view of listed inventory on EmptyJet for each departure month. Offers can appear, change, or disappear. Always confirm current price and availability when you search or enquire.
