What does the Airport Empty Leg Index measure?

It ranks airports by their share of priced empty-leg offers listed on EmptyJet that depart from that airport. It measures EmptyJet listings, not total commercial or private air traffic.

How is share calculated?

Share is the airport’s outbound listing count divided by all priced outbound offers shown in this edition (5,027 offers as of August 10, 2026). Inbound arrivals are shown separately and are not part of share.

Why do airport rankings change?

Empty-leg inventory changes as new offers are listed and existing offers are sold, withdrawn, or rescheduled. Rankings can therefore move between updates.
